The HBA of the Grand Traverse Area in conjunction with Advanced Insulation, Builders FirstSource, Cherryland Electric, Northern Building Supply, Evergreen TC, and Northwestern Michigan College is proud to offer a net zero ready class that will prepare you for upcoming energy code changes. The class is on Saturday, Sept. 9th. Class size is limited and lunch will be provided.

Ted Clifton and his company, Zero-Energy Plans, LLC, have advanced net-zero-energy home design to the point where they can now design and build homes that will also power the owners cars. They are doing this at a price point that is very competitive with similar sized homes in their area. Their goal is to make this the "normal" way to design and build homes.

Ted L. Clifton has been a designer and builder for more than 45 years. Some of his credentials include:
Educated at Berkeley, California, Ted has worked in every phase of construction and knows first-hand what it takes to design and construct a quality home. Having built hundreds of homes as well as commercial and institutional buildings, Ted has the advantage of extensive knowledge of the means and methods used in all three. He has worked in three very different climate zones, from the foothills of California, to Ketchikan, Alaska, to Whidbey Island, Washington.
