2025 Emerging Leaders Sessions 101 & 201
Thursday, April 24, 2025 (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM) (EDT)
Description
The Emerging Leaders Group was established to engage the next generation of leaders in the residential construction industry. Its purpose is to inspire future leadership and ambassadorship within the association, ensuring long-term sustainability, growth, and enthusiasm for both member companies and the association as a whole. Individuals that are invited to attend this course have been identified by current HBA leaders and their peers as an emerging leader.
In the first session, participants will gain a foundational understanding of the Home Builders Association (HBA)—its history, current operations, and future direction. This session introduces the HBA model at the local, state, and national levels. Attendees will learn how the HBA office functions, the roles of the Board of Directors, committees, and task forces, and will explore the key attributes of effective leadership within the association.
This second session focuses on association financials, led by Treasurer Jennifer Bard and Lauren Tucker. Participants will be introduced to the financial framework of the HBA, including key metrics used to assess the organization’s financial health. The session will also explore financial trends and challenges facing the residential construction industry.
Breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 AM, the class will begin at 8 AM and conclude no later than 10 AM.
